The project generally consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: Construction of a new public library: Building will be approximately 50,000 square feet. The main building compo- nents are as follows: Reinforced concrete foundation, steel joists, steel beams, steel columns, steel decking with concrete. Primary exterior materials con- sist of masonry, and metal siding. Roof ele- ments will be standing seam metal roof, and membrane roofing. Interested CONTRAC- TORS are strongly en- couraged to attend. A tour of the project site will be conducted after the meeting. CONTRACTOR(s) and any of the CONTRAC- TOR'S subcontractors doing work on this pro- ject will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604 -8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 1- 800- 556 -6694. CON- TRACTORS are re- quired to have regis- tered with the DLI prior to bidding on this pro- ject. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that em- ployees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than ten per- cent (10 %) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an ap- proved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%,), of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful _ BIDpER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be with- drawn after the sched- uled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids re- ceived, to waive infor- malities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to ex- ceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and respon- sible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
