Addition to the Existing City Landfill Shop Building
Your firm is invited to submit an offer under seal to City of Bozeman for construction of a new
Addition to the Existing City Landfill Shop Building located at 2143 Story Mill Rd,
Bozeman, MT 59715. Separate sealed bids for construction of a new addition to the existing City
Landfill Shop Building will be received by The City of Bozeman, Montana at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 121 North Rouse, PO Box 1230, Bozeman, MT 59771 until 11 a.m. local time on April 29th
This project is an addition to the existing city landfill shop building. The addition involves
adding approximately 1400sf of office space, 1900sf of vehicle storage, and remodeling
approximately 870sf of the existing office to expand the locker room.

Bid Documents for a Stipulated Sum contract may be obtained from the office of the Architect upon receipt of a refundable deposit, by check or certified check, in the amount of $100 for one
set. Refunds will be given for all sets returned, in good condition and unmarked, within ten (10)
business days following the bid opening. Failure to return bid documents within the specified
time or in good condition will result in forfeiture of deposit check. Contact Dowling Sandholm

Bid Documents may also be examined at the following locations: Bozeman Builders Exchange,
Butte Builders Exchange, Billings Plan Room, Great Falls Builders Exchange, and Montana
Contractors Association (Helena).
There will be a Mandatory pre-bid conference on site at the existing landfill facility, 2143 Story
Mill Rd., Bozeman, MT 59715 at 10:00 am on April 21st. Pre-bid conference will familiarize
bidders with project requirements and existing conditions. All potential bidders or a
representative must attend this meeting to be eligible to submit bids.
Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, not
including alternates. Submit AIA form Bid Bond.
Successful bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount within
ten (10) days of the award of Contract. Use AIA form A312, listing City of Bozeman as Obligee.
Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and certificate(s) of that
insurance shall be provided.
Each prime bidder or subcontractor will be required to have a valid Montana Public Contractor's
License in the proper classification. Each prime bidder or subcontractor will be required to
register with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry within ten (10) days of award of the
Contract. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with all fair labor practices and
must meet the requirements of the State Statutes, which require that the Contractor and all subcontractors pay the prevailing rate of wages for District 6 to workers performing labor on
contracts over $25,000. The latest Montana Prevailing Wage Rates for Building Construction are

Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 00 2113 - Instructions to Bidders and Document 00 3100 - Available Project Information. Submit your offer on the Bid Form
provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your offer will be required to be
submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. The
Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or
technicality in any proposal in the interest of the Owner.
