Dear Commissioners:
The Election Office has received your resolution to hold a mail ballot election for the Bozeman
Municipal Primary (if necessary) on September 15, 2009, and the Bozeman Municipal General
on November 3, 2009.
The close of filing is July 2, 2009, which will determine whether a Primary Election will be
necessary. Upon the close of filing, I will certify the candidates to the Office of Political
Practices. As soon as I receive the certification, I will formulate a written plan and a time table
which will be sent to you and to the Secretary of State.
Your resolution states that the ballots shall be mailed on the 15th day before the election which
will be August 31 if there is a Primary Election and October 19th for the November General
Election
