FILL AND BACKFILL SHALL BE COMPACTED AT OPTIMUM MOISTURECONTENT.9.ALL MATERIALS USED FOR PIPE BEDDING SHALL CONSIST OF CLEAN, GRANULAR MATERIALS, AND SHALLCONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED FOR BEDDING MATERIAL IN THE SPECIFIED STANDARDS.10.UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE, BACKFILL SHOULD BE COMPACTED TO 95% RELATIVE COMPACTION IN AREASUNDER STRUCTURES, UTILITIES, ROADWAYS, PARKING AREAS AND CONCRETE FLATWORK, AND TO 90%RELATIVE COMPACTION IN UNDEVELOPED AREAS. RELATIVE COMPACTION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCEWITH ASTM D698 COMPACTION TEST METHOD.11.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT CONSTRUCTION SUBMITTALS FOR ALL COMPONENTS BEFOREINSTALLING AND CONSTRUCTING THE IMPROVEMENTS AND PRIOR TO ORDERING THE MATERIALS.
