Currently, the residence sits on a 13,500sq foot lot. The main house is from the early 1900’s and is a 3 level home in the Cooper Park Historic District. There is an existing garage structure that can fit two vehicles that was possibly built in the 1950’s. The garage is in disrepair and dilapidated. The owners want to replace this building with a new garage and ADU living area upstairs of the garage. It will be on the same area/footprint roughly of this existing old garage.
The new structure will resemble the existing home by way of window frame colors and paint colors of the main house. There will be a wrap-around deck on the upper floor of the ADU.
There are many 2nd story ADU’s in the neighborhood of the Cooper Park historic district. This building will fit in with a similar aesthetic and design of the rest of the neighborhood in terms of scale, design, and color.
