Greg, Thanks for continuing to coordinate with us on the 5th & Main Residences project at the NE corner of N. 5th Ave. and Main Street in downtown Bozeman. As part of our site plan review process with the City of Bozeman, we are required to get written confirmation from utility providers that lot frontage utility easements are not needed where this project fronts on N. 5th Ave. and Main Street as the building is proposed with zero-lot line street setbacks and utility access is toward the alley. Would you be able to confirm that NorthWestern Energy does not need lot frontage utility easements on N. 5th Ave. and Main Street with the proposed development? NWEnergy does not need lot frontage utility easements on N 5th Ave and Main Street; Northwester EnergyNorthWestern Energy 2 besides the point of issue with the street lights we have been reviewing along Main Street. I’m looping in the Owner/Arch/Contractor team for this project. I believe we are targeting June to start site work with demolition of the existing buildings and imagine we’ll want to get the overhead moved early in the process since it runs directly over the back of the Bamboo Garden building and we need to dig foundations at the edge of the alley. Would you be able to provide a response regarding the need for any additional 5th Ave. or Main Street lot frontage utility easements, or is it assumed that since it is the City’s conduit path that it belongs in the right-of-way like most of downtown? I’ve attached them here. Please let me know if you have any questions. We are underneath the sidewalk in the City R/W N/S on 5th to just north of the alley and we are underground E/W to the existing pole (that appears to be staying). I believe when they relocate the aerial lines then we will be parallel to where they City of Bozeman conduit is located. Do you have any idea when that project will be happening? sid.
