HomeMy WebLinkAboutAttachment 8 Public CommentThe Ferguson Farm developers want to build a 90 foot building on the western fringe of town. A
building of up to 8 stories is totally inappropriate in scale at this location. It will disrupt the view in
what was once flat meadowland and in the future will be Suburbia. It will be a sore thumb sticking out
and visible for miles, like the First Interstate Bank building near, but not in, downtown Billings. One
giant eyesore on the property is plenty.
Can the fire department even service an 8 story building? As a taxpayer, I certainly don't want to buy
an expensive new ladder truck so the developers can make a third fortune. If you do permit this
monstrosity, you should at least require them to install fire suppression in the whole building.
Finally, I know everyone in the city government is afraid of Mike Delaney and he gets a pass on
scrutiny and compliance, but please stand up to him and any other developer that comes up with such
an inappropriate proposal.
