1. The RFQ seems to be tailored towards an inspection firm. However, some of the
questions/items in the solicitation such as Firm Information ii.d related to liquated damages
claims seems to be tailored towards construction firms. Is the Cities preference to see an
inspection/testing firm or a construction firm perform the work?
a. For now, we are focused on inspection of the garage. What we learn over the winter will
dictate our strategy for construction and repair.
2. I realize Desman provided the appendix B plan set for this project. I also believe that Morrison
Maierle provided some of the original inspection follow-up on this issue. Has any other
engineering (or construction) firm been involved in this project recently?
a. Not that we have records for.
3. Is Desman permitted to pursue the inspection/testing portion of this project after having
completed the initial guidance documents?
a. Our understanding is Desman has no intention of applying for the inspection/testing
portion. In fact, they recommended we find a local firm.
