Water Model Test Results: Date/Time Performed: October 7th, 2021 Fire Hydrant Flow Test Effective Point: At the 4” lead-in connection to the 8” main behind proposed location (Marked on Site Sketch – Attachment #1) Static = 105 psi; Residual = 94 psi @ 2,000 gpm Available flow at 20 psi (at effective point) = 6,034 gpm Static Pressure @ BOR = 96.5 psi Available Pressure @ 295 gpm at the BOR = 96.5 psi Available Pressure @ 730 gpm at the BOR = 84.5 psi Test Elevation Relative to BOR: Even with the assumed finish floor elevation (4870 ft. AMSL) Safety Factor Utilized in Calculations: 5 psi A Fire Pump WILL NOT be required A Water Tank WILL NOT be required Fireline Backflow Preventer Required: Double Check Type Backflow Preventer. Device assumed for deduct in calculations: 4-inch Ames 3000SS double check backflow preventer This needs to be approved by the civil engineer. This is a recommendation only and should not be used for construction or exact main locations. Should you have any questions regarding this matter, do not hesitate to contact me.
