Matt,
I apologize for the delayed email.
Engineering understands the applicants desire to move towards final plat, specifically phases 1 and 9. It is the applicants
responsibility to satisfy the BMC requirements for final plat as well as all conditions associated with the approved
preliminary plat. With that being said, conversations with the applicant, planning, and engineering have discussed
breaking the final plat into specific phases.
As part of the final plat review process, engineering typically reviews any outstanding infrastructure related items that
are financially guaranteed (i.e. Improvements Agreement).
Engineering will review the improvements agreements and schedule final walkthrough’s for infrastructure. It is the
departments preference to get once final close‐out package for infrastructure improvements, so we will need to work
with the applicant on what that final close‐out looks like.
Please provide this letter to planning, confirming that engineering will review the applicants improvement agreement
with the final plat application.

Hi Alicia and Lance,
We submitted the final plat application for Blackwood Groves Phases 1 and 9 last week and the Planning pre‐screen has
a comment to include a letter from the City Engineer confirming that as‐built drawings have been received or that the
approved concurrent construction plan or improvements agreement is included. The Improvements Agreement

application is detailed and included in the final plat application as it is commonly reviewed concurrently with the final
plat as so many of these items are tied together. Can you provide a quick email confirming that the improvements
agreement, included with the submittal, will be reviewed as part of the final plat application? This will allow Planning to
intake the application and begin review – there’s still a long way to go…
Attached is the improvements agreement submitted with the final plat for reference.
