I grew up in Bozeman, and even though life currently has me living in the Portland, OR area, I still call Bozeman my home. The Fowler expansion plans are missing a key-feature thatthe cherished Bozeman community needs: nature areas along Fowler that bring respite and peace of mind within the daily routine. I understand we can benefit from the Fowler expansion with improved traffic flow andresponse times, but this also makes me 'big city cringe' unless the roads come with natural surroundings. Traffic artery expansions encourage the busy life of needing to get frompoint A to point B and deter the ability to enjoy life in the moment. Research has shown that growing communities benefit from natural areas within the city(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4556255/). A big city like the Portland area offers many natural spaces inside city limits, and these spaces make a positive difference. Please don't let Bozeman grow without keeping Bozeman's heart in the plans each step of the way. Question: What is the city doing to keep the natural Montana that we all love within citylimits? I encourage the city to incorporate space for natural areas along Fowler in their expansion plans to improve community wellbeing and keep Bozeman true. Thanks for listening,Kaye Cheever Zahrowski
