My name isColleen Messina and I live at 3252 Lily Drive. I am very close to the area of the proposed project and would like to share some comments since I wasn't able to attend public meetings. Icare for my 90 year old mom at my home, which makes excursions more difficult! Several areas of this project concern me: The land between West Babcock and Oak Street where the Fowler Project is proposed is zoned 100% residential, so there are no businesses in that section of town. There are alreadymajor north-south connections close by at Ferguson Avenue, which has a roundabout, and Cottonwood Road, which has traffic lights. In addition, the distance along Durston Roadbetween the proposed Fowler intersection and Ferguson Avenue would only be about .50 miles. Why do we need two large intersections only half a mile apart along DurstonRoad, especially considering that the area is zoned 100% residential? Also, if this project is implemented, we all lose a beautiful green space in our town. On thenorth side of Durston Road, the proposed construction area goes through a field that has a creek and beautiful trees. This area is a habitat for many creatures such as pheasants, owls, anddeer. On the south side of Durston, putting a larger road through would also take away a walking path along a creek that also has large trees. Have the landowners directly affectedby the Fowler Project agreed to the use of their properties for this project? Another comment I would like to add is that when my husband and I bought this lot and builtour house on it in 2004, we were told that the field to the west of us, where this project is now planned, was going to be a park and that Lily Drive would have a cul-de-sac. It was animportant consideration for us when we purchased our property. Somewhere along the line, this plan changed, but none of us in Harvest Creek were told about it or asked for feedback atthat time. Please, if you know, can you tell me when this plan changed and why no one inHarvest Creek was informed when it did? Thank you for your consideration of all public comment on this project, and if you have any answers or comments on my questions. Respectfully, Colleen Messina
