My formal address is on Christopher Way. I would like to express my disapproval, of the recommended expansion of the road in this area. I have a 6.5 year old son, who has arthritis, he and my family use the current pathway to get to and from school in the morning. It is often a very slow bike ride, that requires many stops along the way. One of our neighbors The Brown's who live on the end of Christopher Way, also use this pathway for there son. He has autism. So, this peaceful walkway is park of there routine for health and well-being enhancement for their child, as well as mine. There are many other children in our neighborhood who regularly use the dirt pathway to get to and from school, and to the park safely for the majority of the year. There is a school, Hyalite elementary, and a baseball field and a park all within .5 miles of the end of this current pathway. Currently, both in the mornings and the afternoon, destignated crosswalk personell, use the Fowler and Babcock at two junctions for children tring to cross the road to get to the school. If Fowler, is made to be a through way, as planned, there would be much more traffic going through, this highly populated area, with children and families. With the Baseball field, Park and School being within a short distance from the end of this juction, I fear the worst, might happen for a child. There is a Paraparlegic man, who lives on Christopher way, he often uses a race-type wheel chair to recreate this would endanger his way of life. There is many retired people who live in the neighborhood, some with confounding factors, such as serve hearing loss, and dementia, the danager of putting a large road in this area, would be great for most of the residents. There is a great deal of birds and animals who would have to relocate as well. Please, consider preserving this trail as a Mountain to City Trail. Preserving and living in Harmony with nature, is the way of life for Most Montanas. In closing, my objections to this expansion, are: enviromental loss, for animals, and possible endangerment to residents. Sincerely, In Graitude, Best, Kay Lyn Cunningham R.T.(R), C.T., MHA Radiological Technologist III Phone # 406- 898-1703(direct-line) Also accessible by Voalte message
