Hi folks. I’m not a city resident, but travel on the west side several times a week. My
comments:
There is no north-south connection between 19th Ave and Ferguson (ignoring Fowler
which stops at Babcock). This was horrible city planning done a few decades ago, when
Main St was joined with Huffine. The city has a lot of bad planning to make up for.
I think a road connection through Fowler is needed. But it should not continue the
expansive street design from Davis Ln. Is the city committed to making the city cycle and
pedestrian friendly?
Fully incorporate cycling and walking into this design. Instead of 4 lanes of pavement, a
2 lane roadway is sufficient. Use remaining right of way for separate bicycle and foot
paths. Maintain existing greenery and put in more.
Cycling lanes are a hazard everywhere in the city. Start changing this mistake with the
Fowler extension with separate cycle paths. Follow a better path starting here.
