To whom it concerns: This comment is to voice our opinion against the Fowler Avenue Connection formultiple reasons, Firstly: in an earlier master plan the continuation of Fowler may have been logical. But as the city and this portion of town has grown the master plan needs to berevisited and revised. The road is not needed or necessary. A. 19th Street is 1 mile to the east of Fowler and runs from Main Streetto the Interstate.B. Ferguson is ½ mile west of Fowler and runs from Huffine to Baxter. C. Cottonwood is 1 mile west of Fowler and runs from Huffine to Oak Street with an extension to go on to Baxter. There would not be enough traffic flow to justify extending or improving Fowler. We have not heard an outpouring of pleas to complete the round-about at Oak andDavis. Secondly: It does not make sense fiscally. It would be very expensive to constructfor the limited benefit it would provide. In addition it would require additional snowremoval efforts and incur the regular aging repairs needed over time. The city has pressing growth and housing issues on which this project’s construction and maintenance costs could be better spent. Thirdly: This area is currently a quiet residential community with a park and school in walking distance. There would be more danger to pedestrians and students with an increase in traffic flow. Fourthly: The environmental damage to the Section Line Ditch Corridor. Many in the neighborhood enjoy the wildlife and are often seen walking and biking along the local trail. Cancel the road extension and leave this area in the park-like condition ithas been for decades. For these reasons the extension of Fowler is not necessary and makes no sense. Thank you for your time and consideration. Tom and Helen Beausoleil 411 Teton Ave. Bozeman
