Hello, As a resident of Bozeman with a two year old who uses the green space along the proposed Fowler corridor weekly, I am adamantly opposed to the expansion. I see families andcommunity members out enjoying the trail that connects the Bozeman Pond to Durston all the time. My daughter and I frequently walk the trail back there and look at the stream and watchthe birds and bugs. Residents and families with young kids need spaces to allow kids to learn to ride bikes and enjoy walking on a path that is free from traffic and pollutants. Additionally, with the elementary school, athletic fields and park there, adding a heavy use traffic corridor seems like an invitation for danger. Why are we making our community less safe andtherefore less desirable for families. This trail and historic grove of trees, though small, needs to be protected in perpetuity for our future Bozemanites. I will be attending the transportationmeeting and commission meeting coming up at the end of this month, sharing these thoughts. I've attached photos of my daughter on this trail - from stroller to walking the dog. These are where the memories and love of the outdoors are being built in Bozeman. What are ourcommunity's values if not that. I would also mention that as the earth is heating up, trees and green space do wonders for cooling spaces and asphalt and roadways have the exact opposite. We need to be think aboutfuture proofing our town a bit. Thanks, Caitlin
