Based on what I have heard, the proposed Fowler Avenue connection project is
something I oppose. The current trail is an ideal peaceful route. The neighbors on
one side would lose their backyard privacy and get a lot of unwelcome noise. Thecost to remove numerous old Willow and Cottonwood trees would be unreasonable.Wildlife habitat would be destroyed. Where would the water go? Underground or
diverted? Who owns the vacant land on the one side that is wide, level, clear of
trees and basically unused? Can that be bought and used instead? Finally a narrow 2lane road would be bad enough but better than a wider thoroughfare. Why do thecity planners want this project?
