I live at the dead end on Oliver Street. There are a handful of people who own property that the proposed
Fowler/Davis Road would be built on. Many of them have not agreed to anything regarding this project and
there are many more people living nearby who also have no need for a 3-5 lane road going through our
neighborbood. Old growth trees need to be preserved. City birds and other displaced town animals have
found sanctuary in this area - WE NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE EARTH! We pay taxes that pay for these
projects that are NEGATIVELY affecting property values.
The options the engineers have offered are NOT practical. WE DO NOT NEED 3-5 LANES. WE DO NOT NEED
A MEDIAN. The road should be two lanes with sidewalks. We do not need huge roundabouts or lighted
intersections at the proposed Durston and Fowler intersection. Stop sign intersections are working just fine
on the rest of the North to South roads, from Oak to Huffine. THIS FOWLER CORRIDOR IS ZONED 100%
RESIDENTIAL FROM OAK TO HUFFINE. Many people would prefer we preserve the nature of a quiet and
safe FAMILY neighborhood. Fowler should NOT have a speed limit over 25mph to correlate with similiar
roads in the area.
