ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 2022—02
Delegation of Authority
The City of Bozeman is obligated to examine and approve subdivision plats, miscellaneous
subdivision exemptions, and certificates of survey, pursuant to the Montana Subdivision and platting
Act,MCA§§76-3-101 et seq. I hereby delegate to the Director of Transportation and Engineering the
authority to examine and, where appropriate, approve all final plats and where necessary, all
subdivision exemptions and certificates of survey. This delegation shall include the authority to accept
ownership of all public infrastructure improvements and all water-related improvements,the authority
to accept the dedication to the City of Bozeman for the public use of any and all lands dedicated to
such use, and to certify exclusion from MDEQ review when adequate stormwater drainage and
adequate municipal facilities can be provided. In the absence of the Director of Transportation and
Engineering the City Engineer is delegated all such authority.
