Olive Street Bozeman, MT 59715 RE: UPS Bozeman Parcel Distribution Wastewater Memo Mr. Flammond: The purpose of this memo is to address wastewater design capacity for the proposed development. Referencing the “Nelson Meadows Subdivision Water and Wastewater Design Report” dated February 2018 by Morrison Maierle the total anticipated wastewater generated for the subdivision is based on an estimated 960 gallons per acre per day. See table below from this report: The UPS parcel is 9.28 acres which results in an estimated sewer capacity reserved for this parcel of 8,909 gpd and 23.94 gpm peak flow when using the same peak hour factor of 3.87. Utilizing guidance from Montana DEQ Circular 4, a typical flow rate of 13 gallons per employee per day can be used to estimate wastewater flow. With 77 anticipated employees, the daily peak demand for wasteater use is 1,001 gallons per day. Using the same peak hour factor of 3.87, the estimated peak hour flow is 2.69 gpm. Therefore the Nelson Meadows sewer system and pump station appears to have been designed to adequately serve the UPS development. Sincerely, Adam Schlegel, PE Civil Engineer
