LL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This detached one and one-half story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with a gabled front addition with recessed front entry. There is also a rear addition with a porch. The facade consists of a new shallow-gabled addition with recessed side-facing entry flanked by a double-hung window with one-over-one sash arrangement. Facing front is also a large fixed window. The frame construction is finished in brick veneer with a rough--textured finish and random coursing. The upper half-story and the gable end are finished in vertical wood siding. The structure rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with clay tile and feature over-hanging eaves and a centrally located brick chimney. The axis of the central block is parallel to the street and may once have been an "i" house. The original character has been lost, but there is an interesting rod-ironed ornamental fence at the front of the lot. Outbuildings include a garage and a shed. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Significance:This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development INTEGRITY. Assess the degree to which the structure/site,and surrounding area accurately convey the historical associations of the property. The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival of original design and materials, and continuity of use, setting and location.
