We would like to remodel and upgrade our house on North Bozeman Avenue. The following is a list of
alterations that we could like to complete with this project:
Southern Addition: We propose to add a 176 sq ft living room with a woodstove onto the south side of
the existing house. The addition would have a 5:12 gabled roof, with dark grey standing seam metal
panels.
Re-configured back entry / mudroom: We propose to reconfigure the back entry to incorporate a small
mudroom and interior stairs to basement storage (currently accessed via a bulkhead). We would also
replace the back deck to be a similar size, but a slightly different shape.
Shed roof with second story deck: We propose to add a shed roof across the roofline in the rear of the
house to increase usable space upstairs, let in more light, and access a second story deck.
Basement: We propose to expand the existing unfinished basement by 424 sq ft for additional storage.
We would underpin the existing foundation along the western wall, and construct an alternative
foundation at least 2’ inside the existing foundation along the eastern, southern, and northern walls. The
additional square footage would not extend past the 15’ front setback.
Front entry porch: We propose to lengthen the current front porch so as to be more inviting and provide
a sheltered place to sit in the morning sun.
