HomeMy WebLinkAboutQ Neighborhood Center Plan 020320 NORTHWEST CROSSING Oak& Cottonwood Bozeman, Montana Neighborhood Center Plan Requirements for Neighborhood Center Section 38.410.020 -Neighborhood centers.All residential subdivisions or planned unit developments that are ten net acres in size or greater,must have a neighborhood center. Developments maybe exempted from this requirement if every lot within the development is within one-half mile of an existing neighborhood center. Generally,the center must be no less than one acre in size. The development includes a Neighbor Center by creating a NWX Neighborhood Commercial Centerto serve the needs of the neighborhoods,including the Gallatin High School. Neighborhood commercial centers is intended to support and help give identity to the neighborhood by providing a visible and distinctive focal point. The NWX neighborhood commercial center also will draw from more than the immediate vicinity,especially due to its location adjacent to Cottonwood arterial street. The NWX Neighborhood Commercial Center is approx.15 acres in size,currently containing Lots 1-13 which is intended to have commercial uses such as daycares,smallerscale groceries,bakeries,coffee shops,retail stores, small restaurants,and offices. The new NWX neighborhood commercial center is subject to the community design framework master plan provisions of sections 38.210.130 and 38.510.0301. Narrative Page 1 1
