I want to memorialize a conversation we had regarding parking behind the Fresco Cafe.Last week I spoke to Susan Neibouer, owner of Fresco, about parking in the alley behind
her restaurant. Over the years we have had many conversations with PD,public works,parking,facilities and others regarding this issues.Although the alley is a designated
alley, it does not provide a travel way or connectivity beyond Bozeman Creek so does not provide important access or function like other alleys in the downtown.
Ms. Neibouer has requested the restaurant manager be able to park on the gravel section of the alley directly behind their business.Because that area does not function as on
alley and acts more like on extension of the City Hall parking lot, I am inclined to approve her request with the following conditions:
1. The alley remains dedicated and this accommodation can be revoked at any time.
2. The manager can only pork on the gravel section, not on the asphalt.
3. Failure to follow the agreement may result in citations and may void this approval
I appreciate your willingness to discuss and entertain this.Although we could take a strict approach I think this will work for everyone.
