Braced Wall Lines (BWL) and Braced W a l l P a n e l s ( B W P ) Bracing is required in accordance with R 6 0 2 . 1 0 . A l l e x t e r i o r a n d i n t e r i o r walls parallel to a Braced Wall Line shall b e o f f s e t n o t m o r e t h a n 4 f e e t a n d Braced Wall Panels shall be full-height s e c t i o n s w i t h n o v e r t i c a l o r horizontal offsets (R602.10.2).BWP shall begin within 10 feet from eac h e n d o f a b r a c e d w a l l l i n e . Distance between Braced Wall Panels in a B r a c e d W a l l L i n e s h a l l b e n o greater than 20 feet. (R602.10.2.2).Per R602.10.2.3 a BWL with a length of 1 6 ' o r l e s s s h a l l h a v e a m i n i m u m of two braced wall panels of any length o r o n e B W P e q u a l t o o r g r e a t e r than 48”. BWL greater than 16' shall ha v e a m i n i m u m o f t w o B W P . The end of a BWL shall be the intersecti o n w i t h a p e r p e n d i c u l a r B W L (R602.10.1.1).
