HomeMy WebLinkAbout19497 Notice NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN AGENCY EXEMPTION HEARING Montana Code Annotated 76-2-402. Local zoning regulations -- application to agencies. Whenever an agency proposes to use public land contrary to local zoning regulations, a public hearing, as defined below, shall be held. (1) The local board of adjustments, as provided in this chapter, shall hold a hearing within 30 days of the date the agency gives notice to the board of its intent to develop land contrary to local zoning regulations. (2) The board shall have no power to deny the proposed use but shall act only to allow a public forum for comment on the proposed use. The public may comment orally at the public hearing or in writing at or prior to the public hearing regarding the agency exemption. Comments should identify the specific criteria of concern along with facts in support of the comment. During the notice period the City will continue review for compliance with applicable regulations. Project Name: Gallatin High School Modification Application: 19497 Summary: A modification application is being submitted to the Gallatin High School Site Plan. This modification will include a new scoreboard design that includes live video playback and a new information sign with LED messaging. The School District Proposed Agency Exemption(s) is per Montana Code Annotated 76-2-402 to Section 38.560.030.A.5 BMC Prohibited signs. The proposal is to install a stadium scoreboard design including video playback with the overall dimensions of 33’6” high by 25’ wide. The video display area is 224.7 square feet. An informational reader board sign is proposed at 5’ high by 8’ wide with the overall display area of 27.1 square feet. The exemption is proposed to allow the prohibited animated scoreboard and reader board with LED and electronic messaging.
