HomeMy WebLinkAbout20160526 MURB Embassy Suites Infrastructure TIF Request Update May 26, 2016 Midtown Urban Renewal Board City of Bozeman Stiff Professional Building 20 East Olive Bozeman, MT 59715 Re: Public Infrastructure Request for Embassy Suites/Hampton Inn Dear Board Members: As requested at the May 5th meeting, KLJ has prepared updated infrastructure costs outlining estimated expenditures by street and improvement type. We have developed an attached spreadsheet showing the allocated costs for both 15th Avenue and Tschache Lane as well as sidewalk improvements along Baxter Lane and a trail west of 15th Avenue. Please note that the cost estimates originally presented were calculated using 2014 and 2015 construction costs. Additionally, the trail along 15th Avenue and sidewalk improvements along Baxter Lane were not part of the original estimate. Therefore, the infrastructure estimate has been revised to include the most recent construction costs (2016) from a public bid for Wallace Avenue, which has resulted in an increase in public infrastructure. Lastly, our updated numbers do include design requests from the informal meeting we had with City planning and engineering, which also resulted in design changes from our original request. The new request is approximately $2.0 for public improvements including:  Tschache Lane: $912,400  15th Avenue: $721,000  Public Utilities: $289,600  Curb/Gutter, Sidewalk and Trail Improvements (Local Share): $227,800  Total $2,150,800 Attached is the detailed spreadsheet for your review as well as platting map showing the approximate location of proposed public infrastructure improvements. In addition, we have provided a general description and rendering of the proposed improvements for each item.
