ORDINANCE NO. 1054
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN DESCRIBED lANDS CONTIGUOUS
TO THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA.
I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AS FOllOWS:
Section 1
That the external boundaries of the area to be annexed to the City of Bozeman
are described as follows:
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
(SE~, SW~) of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, M.P.M.
Gallatin County, Montana, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the East 1/16 corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of said Section 11; thence South 000151 West on and along the East
line of said Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) a distance of 331.33 feet
to the northwesterly right of way of U.S. Highway No. 191, as now
layed out and constructed; thence South 42021'30" West on and along
said right of way a distance of 149.16 feet thence North 00015'
East parallel to and 100.0 feet distant from the East line of the
said Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) a distance of 89.49 feet, to a point
on the right of way of a frontage road along U.S. Highway, No. 191;
thence South 42023122" West on and along said rightof way a distance
of 149.01 feet to the Southeast corner of the tract of land platted
on Film 11, Page 447, Gallatin County Records; thence North 00015'
00" East a distance of 459.54 feet to the said North line of the
SE 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 11, thence North 89023'14" East a distance
of 200.0 feet to the point of beginning. Said tract of land contain-
ing two parcels being a total of 1.83 acres.
TOGETHER WITH an easement for road purposes over and across a strip
of land 60 feet in width measured at right angles to the South line
I of the above described tract of land; said easement to be used jOintly
with adjoining land owners and the public as an access road 60 feet
in width lying North of and adjoining U.S. Highway #191. This ease-
ment to continue until grantors herein dedicate said roadway to the
public use.
Section 2
That pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-2-4701, M.C.A., as amended, it
is the intent of the City of Bozeman to provide services to the area being annexed as
set forth in the report of the City-County Planning Board under date of None.
Section 3
That the area to be annexed to the City of Bozeman is contiguous to the municipal
boundaries at the time the annexing proceedings began.
Section 4
That no part of the area to be annexed is included within the boundaries of another
incorporated municipality.
Section 5
That the area being annexed will conform to the comprehensive plan of the City of
Bozeman as prescribed in Section 7-2-4071, M.C.A., as amended.
I Section 6
That no part of the area is included within the boundaries of any fire district
organized under the provisions of Chapter 20, Title II, R.C.M., 1947, which has been organ-
ized at least ten (10) years prior to the commencement of annexation proceedings.

Section 7
That the effective date of annexation is 20 June, 1980.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana and approved
by the Mayor of said City this 21st day of May, .......~~. I

the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in said City of Bozeman in the issue of the 23rd day of May, 1980.
