ORDINANCE NO. 1047
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN DESCRIBED LANDS CONTIGUOUS TO THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS: I
Section 1
That the external boundaries of the area to be annexed to the City of Bozeman are
described as follows:
Stratford Annexation
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter
of the Southwest Quarter (SE 1/4 SW l/4) of Section 11, Township
Two (2) South, Range Five (5) East, M.P.M., Gallatin County, Mon-
tana, and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North
line of the South Half (S 1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of said Section Eleven (11), which point is South 89023'14" West
a distance of 200.00 feet from the East one-sixteenth (E 1/16)
Corner of said Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) thence South 00015'00"
West parallel to and 200.0 feet West of the East line of said
'Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4), a distance of 459.54 feet to the
Northwesterly right of way line of the 60 foot frontage of U.S.
Highway No. 191 as now laid out and constructed, said point being
f 10.0 feet northwesterly when measured at right angles to cen-
terline station 336 ..f 40.85; thence South 42021'30" West on and
along said frontage right of way a distance of 232.73 feet to the
point of curve of the frontage road which point is northwesterly
110.0 feet when measured at right angles to centerline point of
tangent station 334 ..f 18.0 ahead = Station 287..f 40.0 back; thence
in a southwesterly direction along the curve having a radius of
1800.0 feet and through a central angle of 00032'59", a distance
of 17.28 feet; thence North 24007'00" West, a distance of 199.01
feet to a point 450.0 feet West of the East line of said South-
west Quarter (SW 1/4); thence North 00015'00" .East, 450.0 feet I
West and parallel to the East line of said Southwest Quarter
(SW 1/4), a distance of 459.54 feet to the North line of said
South Half (S 1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4); thence
North 89023'14" East on and along said North line a distance of
250.00 feet to the point of beginning; containing 3.163 acres.
Reserving to the Grantors the North 30 feet of said lands for
street and road purposes.
Section 2
That pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-2-4701, M.C.A., as amended, it is the
intent of the City of Bozeman to provide services to the area being annexed as set forth in
the report of the City-County Planning Board under date of April 1, 1980.
Section 3
That the area to be annexed to the City of Bozeman is contiguous to the municipal
boundaries at the time the annexing proceedings began.
Section 4
That no part of the area to be annexed is included within the boundaries of another
incorporated municipality.
Section 5
That the area being annexed will conform to the comprehensive plan of the City of
Bozeman as prescribed in Section 7-2-4071, M.C.A., as amended.
Section 6
That no part of the area is included within the boundaries of any fire district or-
ganized under the provisions of Chapter 20, Title II, R.C.M., 1947, which has been organ-
ized at least ten (10) years prior to the commencement of annexation proceedings. I
Section 7
That the effective date of annexation is April 1, 1980.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana and
approved by the Mayor of said City this 6th day of February,

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1047, was pub-
lished by title and number in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a
newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City
of Bozeman in the issue of the 10th day of February 1980.
