ORDINANCE NO. 1046
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN DESCRIBED LANDS CONTIGUOUS TO THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1
That the external boundaries of the area to be annexed to the City of Bozeman are I
described as follows:
Buronepe Annexation
Starting at the point of intersection between the West Line
of Section Eleven (11), Township Two (2) South, Range Five
(5) East, M.P.M., and the North side of the right of way of
U. S. Highway 191; thence a distance of 742.0 feet and a bearing
of N ort h 89014' East along the north side of said highway
to the point of beginning which point is at the southeast
corner of a plot of land owned by the State of Montana and
used by the State Fish and Game Commission' thence in a
northerly direction parallel to the west side of Section
Eleven (11) a distance of 300.0 feet; thence at a right
angle to the West side of Section Eleven (11) in an east-
erly direction a distance of 150.0 feet; thence in a south-
erly direction and parallel to the west side of Section
Eleven (11) a distance of 300.0 feet; thence in a westerly
direction along the north side of U.S. Highway 191 right of
way a distance of 150.0 feet to the point of beginneing, all
lying in the Southwest quarter Southwest quarter (SW 1/4 SW
1/4) of section Eleven (11), Township Two (2) South, Range
Five (5) East, M.P.M., situate in Gallatin County, Montana.
Section 2
That pursuance to the provisions of Section 7-2-470l,M.C.A., as amended, it is the
intent of the City of Bozeman to provide services to the area being annexed as set forth
in the report of the City-County Planning Board under date of April 1, 1980.
Section 3 I
That the area to be annexed to the City of Bozeman is contiguous to the municipal
boundaries at the time the annexing proceedings began.
Section 4
That no part of the area to be annexed is included within the boundaries of another
incorporated municipality.
Section 5
That the area being annexed will conform to the comprehensive plan of the City of
Bozeman as prescribed in Section 7-2-4071, M.C.A., as amended.
Section 6
That no part of the area is included within the boundaries of any fire district or-
ganized under the provisions of Chapter 20, Title II, R.C.M., 1947, which had been organized
at least ten (10) years prior to the commencement of annexation proceedings.
Section 7
That the effective date of annexation is April 1, 1980.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana and approved
by the Mayor of said City this 6th day of February, 1980. t:~ _
