ORDINANCE NO. 1013
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.30.020 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE AND
ORDINANCE NO. 1012 RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP, APPOINTMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS
OF THE ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN.
I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1
That Section 2.30.020 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Membership. The Zoning Commission shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the
Mayor, with concurrence of the City Commission. One (1) of the Zoning Commission members
shall hold concurrent office as a member of the Bozeman City-County Planning Board, and one
(1) of the Zoning Commission members shall hold concurrent office as a member of the Board
of Adjustment of the City. In addition, the Mayor, with the concurrence of the City Commis-
ion, shall appoint five (5) at-large Zoning Commission members. Two (2) of the five (5)
members which are appointed at large shall be residents of Gallatin County residing outside
the city limits, but within the Zoning Jurisdiction of the City of Bozeman.
Terms of Office. The members of the Zoning Commission shall serve for terms as set
forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof. Commissioners' terms shall com-
mence on the date of appointment.
Commencement of Terms. Upon expiration of the terms of two (2) of the Commission appoint-
ees, or at the discretion of the Mayor, two (2) members shall be appointed to represent the
area within the City Zoning Jurisdiction but outside the city limits.
Provisional Appointments. The Mayor may provisionally appoint Commission members for
portions of terms contained herein or temporarily appoint Commission members.
I That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, this 30th
day of August, 1978.
