HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-13-16 Hinkins_Gillette, Cleveland Public CommentDear City Planner and City Commissioners, We are writing in opposition to the request for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to rent the house at 304 Cleveland for less than 30 days at a time. We have lived at 1122 South 5th since 1983 and we want to protect the residential qualities of this neighborhood. This CUP is not a request for residents at this location to rent out a room or a portion of their house on a short term basis but rather would result in a house with no residents with ties to our neighborhood. We do not want to see our neighborhood commercialized especially since there is no overwhelming need for these rentals; there are areas in Bozeman that are zoned for hotels, motels and B&Bs. Moreover there is a need in Bozeman for more homes for purchase or for long term rentals, especially in the desirable area close to MSU. Therefore we urge you to deny this CUP request.
