ORDINANCE NO. 997
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.04.150 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO BUSINESS REGULATIONS AND LICENSING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS,
TO WIT:
I Section 1
That Chapter 3.04, Section 3.04.150 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
3.04.150 TERM OF LICENSES-FEES PAYABLE IN ADVANCE-HALF YEAR FEE.
All licenses issued under this chapter shall be for the calendar year
in which they are issued and shall expire December 31st of such year.
All fees shall be paid yearly in advance. All fees are due and payable
January 1st of each year. No discounts shall be allowed from the fees
hereinbefore prescribed. Provided that the fee for any license for any
business, occupation or pursuit, in which the applicant, or licensee,
shall first engage in such business, occupation or pursuit after June
30th of said year and not before in said year, shall be (unless other-
wise herein specified) one-half of the fee for a full year as herein-
before pre scribed and such license shall expire on the next succeeding
December 31st. Any license issued for a specified date, time or place
shall not be a license for any other date, time or place. If any licen-
see, having paid the yearly license shall cease to operate thereunder
I at any time prior to the 30th day of June in any year, (except in the
case of a license for a particular and specified date, time and place)
such licensee shall be entitled to a refund of fifty per centum of the
fee paid, upon application therefor within thirty days from the time
such operation ceased, but not thereafter. (Ord. 637 Sec. 8: December
1, 1933).
Section 2
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
