ORDINANCE NO. 991

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 18.30.020 AND 18.72.850 RELATING TO
EFFICIENCY UNITS AS PERMITTED USES AND FRATERNITY AND SORORITY HOUSES
AS CONDITIONAL USES IN THE R-3 RESIDENTIAL-MEDIUM DENSITY DISTRICT AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AS
I FOLLOWS, TO WIT:
Section 1

That Section 18.30.020 of the Bozeman 'Municipal Code'and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:

2. Churches
3. Conditional uses as provided in Chapter 18.72
4. Efficiency units (maximum four (4) units per lot)
5. Fire stations ' .
6. Home occupations ,J,
7. Multi-family dwellings
8. Rooming and boarding houses (maximum of three (3 ) rooming units plus
family quarters)
9. Temporary building for and during construction, only
10. Uses permitted in the R-l and R-2 districts.
Section22,
That Section 18.72.050 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
18.72.050 CONDITIONAL USES
The following uses may be permitted as conditional ~ses in the distticBs as specified:
I AS Agriculture District
Public and private parks and playgrounds, golf courses and country clubs, hunting
and fishing clubs, schools and travel trailer parks; and television and radio
broadcasting studios and transmitters, and ambulance service.
RS Residential Suburban
Schools (non-board, nursery, elementary, junior and senior high) public and private
parks and playgrounds, golf courses and country clubs, other recreational uses,
P.U.D.'S as provided in Chapter 18.75 of this ordanance and ambulanc~ service.
R-l Single Family Residential - Low Density

Schools, libraries, public and private parks and playgrounds, golf courses and
country clubs, P.U.D. 's as provided in Chapter 18.75 of this ordinance and ambu-
lance service.
R-2 Single Family Residential - Medium Density
Same as R-l'district.
R-3 Residential - Medium Density
Conditional uses provided in the R-l and R-2 districts that are not permitted uses
in the R-3 district, mobile home parks as provided in Chapter 18.78 of this ordinance,
P.U.D.'S as provided in Chapter 18.75 of this ordinance, fraternity and sorority
houses, and medical offices.
R-4 Residential - Medium Density
I Same as R-3 district.
R-5 Residential - High Density
Same as R-4 district.
R-O Residential - Office District
Nursing homes and hospitals, churches, public and private parks and playgrounds.
Other types of medical facilities or personal services not listed as a permitted,
use, P.U.D.'S as provided in Chapter 18.75 of this ordinance, and ambulance serVlce.

B-1 Neighborhood Business District

B-3 Central Business District
Amusement and recreation activities, auction rooms, transportion and utility sta-
tions, apartments, drive-in banks and cleaners, radio and TV broadcasting and
transmitting studios.
M-l Commercial - Light Manufacturing
Open storage (if screened), retail establishments (in addition to those listed in
Chapter 18.51), residences for owner or caretaker, P.V.D. IS as provided in Chapter
18.75 of this ordinance, animal shelters and veterinary clinics.
M-2 Manufacturing and Industrial
Juntksalvage yards (if screened), residences for owner or caretaker.
TR Technology Research District
Other research establishments not listed as permitted uses, planned research
establishments as provided in Chapter 18.75 of this ordinance.
Section 3

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days from and after its
final passage and approval according to law.
