ORDINANCE NO. 982
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, REGULATING AND CONTROLLING THE
DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, QUALITY OF MATERIALS, LOCATION, OPERATION
AND MAINTENANCE OF HEATING, VENTILATING, COMFORT COOLING, REFRIGERATION
SYSTEMS, INCINERATORS, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS HEAT PRODUCING APPLIANCES IN
THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA: PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND
COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFORE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF;
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 957, OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS, TO WIT:
Section 1
That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Bozeman, being marked and designated as "Uniform Mechanical Code, 1976 Edition, pub-
lished by the International Conference of Building Officials," be and the same is hereby adopted as
the Mechanical Code of the City of Bozeman for regulating and controlling the design, construction,
installation, quality of materials, location, operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation,
comfort cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators, and other miscellaneous heat producing appli-
ances in the City of Bozeman; providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore;
providing penalties for violation of such code; and each and all of the regulations, provisions,
peanities, conditions and terms of such "Uniform Mechanical Code, 1976 Edition, published by the
International Conference of Building Officials," on file in the office of the City Clerk are
hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance.
Section 2
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, this 9th day of
February, 1977.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO
ADOPT BUILDING CODE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, intends to adopt the
1976 "Uniform Building Code", as amended, and will consider final adoption of said Ordinance on
Wednesday, the 2nd day of March, 1977, at 1:30 o'clock p.m. in the Commission Room of the City Hall
of the City of Bozeman, Montana, and that three copies of said Building Code are on file with the
Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman for inspection by the public.
