Project Funding Commission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Rick Hixson, City Engineer SUBJECT: Transportation Alternatives Project Funding and Maintenance Agreement With MDT AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent MEETING DATE: May 16, 2016 RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign the Project Funding and Maintenance Agreements for this seasons Transportation Alternatives projects. BACKGROUND: The city of Bozeman was successful in obtaining Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) Transportation Alternatives funding for pedestrian improvement projects in Bozeman. These projects are the construction of ADA compliant roadway crossing improvements (widened sidewalks, curb ramps, refuge islands, rectangular rapid flashing beacons and crosswalk markings) at the intersections of Babcock Street and Fowler Avenue and Oak Street and Hunters Way. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None. FISCAL EFFECTS: The estimated cost of the project is $166,649.00, of which the City's share will be $22,364.00. It is anticipated the city share will be paid for with Community Transportation Funds. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission. Attachments: 2 Original Agreements 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17
