ORDINANCE NO. 946
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4.04.090 OF THE BOZEMAN MtTNIr.IPAL CODE 1'0
INCLUDE THE LICENSE FEE .FOR THE RETAIL SALE OF T~!NE IN THE CITY OF BOZEMl\N
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CCMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. MONTANA. AS FOl.LOWS.
TO WIT:
Section I
That Section 4.04.090 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended as
follows:
4.04.090 License fees. The license fees under this chapter shall be as
follows:
Brewers, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) annually,
Wholesalers, Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00) annually,
Retailers of beer, Two Hundred fullars ($200.00) annually,
Retailers of wine, Two Hundred Dollars (5200.00) annually,
Clubs, Thirty-five Dollars ($35.00) annually,
payable with the application and subject to ~he half yearly rate as hereinbefore
provided. Fees and fines. collected under this chapter shall be allocated to
the "Protection of Life and Property Fund" of the City of Bozeman, it being
hereby recited that licenses imposed under the provisions of this chapter are
exclusively for the purpose of defraying. the cost of necessary poli.ce regulation.,
inspection and control under the police power of the City of Bozeman. and not
for revenue, and that any. business licensed under this chapter requires and is
subject to the general police regulations of the City of Bozeman for the safety..
health. peace, quietness, and good order of said city and the inhabitants
thereof. All fees provided for in this chapter are in addition to any and all
other license fees required to be paid under any other ordinance of the City
of Bozeman. (Ord. 641 S 8,. as amended by Ord 766; November 7, 1951.)
Section 2
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption.
PASSED. ADOPTED, and APPROVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman this
26th day of June, 1974.
