ORDINANCE NO. 840
-
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT THE ENTRY BY ANY PERSON INTO
SUNSET HILLS CEMETERY WITHOUT WRITTEN fERMISSION OF THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY OF THE CrTY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
I AT ANY TIME FROM ONE-HAtF HOUR AFTER SUBSET; 'lIO ONE-HALF
HOUR BEFORE SUNRISE SHALL BE UNLAWFUL AND PUNISHABLE AS
A MISD:EMEANOR AND DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME IMMEDIATELY EFFECTIVE UPON
THE PASSAGE AND ADOPTION BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA:
See tion 1. Tha tIt shall be unlawful and pu.nishab.le as a mi.demeanor
for any person without written permission of the Director of ~ublic Safety ot
the Oi ty ot Bozeman, Montana, to enter the Sunset Hills Cemetery at any time
from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise.
Section 2. That recent and recurrent depredations during the night
time of monumen ts in the Sunse t Hil.lS Ceme tery has, in the opinion of the
City Commission, created an emergency requiring that this Ordinance become
~ediately effective upon its passage and adoption and that therefore it is
hereby declared that this Ordinance shall be ~ed1ately affect1ve upon 1ts
ad1ption and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at
a regular session held on the 8th day of May, 1963.
