SUBJECT: Task Order - Development and Groundwater Monitoring of AI Wells, Story Mill Landfill
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
MEETING DATE: May 2, 2016
RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the City Engineer's signature on the attached Task Order for
development and testing of the recently installed Air Injection Wells at the Story Mill Landfill.
BACKGROUND: The City is currently installing the DEQ approved corrective measure at the Story Mill Landfill. Those measures consist of the installation of Air Injection and Soil Vapor
Extraction Wells. At the request of the City Attorney we have asked Tetra Tech to develop and
test the groundwater in these air injection wells for volatile organic compounds. The attached
Task Order accounts for these items of work. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The cost of this work is estimated to be $10,182.60.00. It is anticipated
that this work will be paid for by the City's insurance provider. ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
