HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-22-16 Public Comment - C. & K. May - Kagy ReconstructionIn response to the options for Kagy Blvd., my preference is for expansion to be no more than three lanes and fully integrating an interconnected network of trails, bike lanes and safe street crossings. As residents of the Southside, we do not wish to see Kagy become a barrier to downtown and the University. People in our area walk and bike on the connecting trails to University events and to local businesses. It is something special to be able to stop as the football team and band cross Kagy to go to the stadiium for practice and then be able to walk to football games on Saturday. As you bike or drive down Kagy to the grocery or local eateries and see events at the Brick it encourages us to attend athletic and other events there. It makes for a very special community that very few cities are fortunate enough to have. It is that unique feeling that belongs only to Bozeman that so many work to maintain. We fully support Chapters 4 (Community Quality) and 11 (Transportation) of the Bozeman Community Plan, as well as Bozeman's Climate Action Plan, and hope that the Commissioners will consider the recommendations found in these documents. Thank you for your consideration. Cinclair and Kay May
