Message: Just a few comments on the Kagy Blvd. I drive the section from 3rd to 11th often and
no question it is time to do something! Traffic engineers often look to the best way to move more
cars more quickly. This was true in Tempe where we watched 6 lane arterials on every mile
section completely isolate neighborhoods. I believe this now is old thinking and providing more bike lines, pedestrian paths, more landscaping and low speed limits is the community thing to do.
Need a light or round about at 7th, and pedestrian crossings. Actually we need to look at a way to
provide a city long range traffic plan that allows non local traffic a bypass. Not easy...glad I'm
not a traffic planner! Eva Patten
