HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-19-16 Public Comment - H. Eisen - Kagy Reconstructionhello, I am not going to be able to make it to the public meeting on April 21st to share my comments regarding the Kagy Boulevard reconstruction in person, so I am sharing my comments in writing here. I own a home fairly close to Kagy, on South 14th, and frequently bike, run, and drive along Kagy to get across town and when exercising. Living in a community with pedestrian and bike- friendly streets is important to me and for the most part I think Bozeman does a pretty good job at this. To this end, I strongly encourage the city to design Kagy, and other arterial streets, in a manner that promotes bike and pedestrian use and discourages fast driving. Three lanes, landscaping, bike lanes, pedestrian crossing points, and other design features that help maintain Kagy as a public place where pedestrians and cyclists feel safe, and traffic flows smoothly, will benefit Bozeman and ensure that Kagy unites neighborhoods on either side of the street rather than dividing them. I would hate to see Kagy end up looking like 19th. Thank you for considering my comments. Hilary Eisen 417 S 14th Ave, Bozeman
