AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 558 OF THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN CHANGING THE LICENSE FEE UPON FEMALE DOGS
I WHEREAS, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 558 of the City of Bozeman, Montana, reads as follows1
"Every person, other than owners or keepers
of dog kennels, owning, keeping or harboring
any dog within the corporate limits of the
City of Bozeman, shall cause said dog to be
registered, numbered and licensed annually
with the City Clerk of said City, and shall
pay for such license the sum of $3.00 for
each male dog and $5.00 for each female dog."

WHEREAS . it is deemed desirable to impose a special license fee on spayed female dogs and
unspayed female dogsl
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF' BOZEMANI
Section h That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 558 of the ~ity of Bozeman, providing for the
license and regulating the keeping of dogs, is hereby amended to read 8S follows:
"Every person, other than owners or keepers of dog kennels, owning, keep-
ing or harboring any dog within the corporate limits of the City of Boze-
man, shall cause said dog to be registered, numbered and licensed annually
with the City Clerk of said City, and shall pay for such license the sum of
$3.00 for each male dog and each spayed female dog and $10,00 for each un-
spayed female dog."
Section 21 This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, and immediately
necessary for the preservation of peace, health and safety of the public, and shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman.
I Passed and adopted by the unanimous vote of the City Commission in regular session assembled
this 23rd day of Deoember A. D. 1959.
