PREAMBLE VV1ffiREAS: To promote the safety and convenience of the general public in the traffic use of the streets, avenues, alleys and other public places of The City of Bozeman it is necessary to amend Section 29 of Ordinance No. 672 so as to extend the parking time- limit restriction to public ways in addition to those ncm included and specified in said Ordinances No. 672, and to enlarge the authority of the City Manager to further extend such restrictions, subject to approval by the City Commission, or in emergencies, by order or regulation, or either, as the public safety ani convenience from time to time shall require; and I WHEREAS: In the opinion of the City Comndssion it is necessary for the public safety and convenience that this ordinance b eco:rre il'l1l1')3 diately effective upon its adoption, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5450 R. C. Montana, 1935, because an emergency exists with reference to traffic on certain public ways within the city being hampered and ob- structed and made dangerous to the public safety and convenienc e by reason of automobiles and other vehicles being parked on said streets in the business district and permitted to remain so parked for unreasonable continuous periods so as - to obstruct traffic and render it unsa fe and inconvenient for the general public; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN: Section I I Section 29 of Ordinance No. 672 Amended. That Section 29 of Ordinance No. 672 of The City of Bozeman, entitled "An Ordin- nance Regulating Traffic Upon the Public streets, Avenues and Alleys of The City of Bozemm, Montana, and Repealing Ordinances Nos. 576 and 610 of The City of Bozeman, and All Other Ordinances and Parts of Ordinances in Conflict Herewithlt, be, and the same is hereby amended sa as to read as follows: Section 29 Parking Time Limited in Designs. ted Places--Em.ergencies. (a) The operator of a vehicle shall not park such vehicle between the hours of 9 o'clock A. M. and 6 o'clock P. M. on any day for longer than, Fifteen (15) minutes on the east side of Tracy Avenue between the first alley south of Main street and the north line of Babcock street. Ninety (90) minutes at any other place on Tracy Avenue between the south line of Main street and the north line of Babcock street. Ninety (90) minutes on Black and Willson av~nues between the SOl th line of Main street and the north line of Babcock street. Nine ty (90) minutes on Main street between the west line of ROllS e avenue and-the east line of Grand avenue.
