ORDINANCE NO. 668
An Ordinance of the City of Bozeman amending Section Eight (8) of Ordinance
No..645 of said City entitled:
I
Section.' 1
License Fee
That Section Eight (8) of Ordinance No. 645 of the City of Bozeman entitled:
"An Ordinance of the City Bozeman for the Police Regulation, In-
spection and Control of Public Dances and Public Dance Halls'
Within the City of Bozeman and Within Three Miles Beyond the Corpor-
ate Limits Thereof; Imposing a License Fee to Defray the Cost
of such Pollce Regulation, Inspection and Control; Defining Pub-
lic Dances and ~ublic Dance Halls; Imposing Penalties for Vio-
lation of this Ordinance; Repealing Ordinance Number 622 of the
City of Bozeman; and Declaring an ~mergency by Reason Whereof
it is Necessary that this Ordinance be in Full Force and Effect
from and after its Adoption."

as amended by Ordinance No. 647 of the City of Bozeman, be, and the same is hereby
amended so as to read as follows:
Section 8
License Pee
Public Dance Halls shall pay an annual license fee of Twenty-five ($25.00)
Dollars per year, in advance, or Two Dollars ($2.00), in advance, for each and every
dance given or held therein; provided, that after Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) has
been paid for dances at Two Dollars ($2.00) each, no further payment shall be re-
quired from such dance hall and/or dances for the calendar year during which such
payments have been made, and such dance hall shall thereupon be entitled to receive a
license for the remainder of such calendar year without further payment. Fees col-
lected hereunder shall be paid into the Protection of Life and Property Fund of the
City of Bozeman.
Section 2
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall govern all public dance halls and public dances within
the City of Bozeman and within three miles beyond the Corporate l)mits of said City
during the year 1936 and thereafter until altered, amended or repealed.

Passed and adopted by the Commission of the City of Bozeman this 31st day of
January, 1936.

of the City of Bozeman this 31st day of January, 1936; final passage fixed for the
7th day of February, 1936.
Published in Bozeman Daily Chronicle February 11th, 1936.
Effective February 7th, 1936.

Daily Chronicle, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in
