Message: I am writing in support of the proposed addition to the Lark Hotel. As a downtown resident (N.
Tracy), and as president of Altos Photonics (S. Wallace) I have a deep interest in Bozeman's continued
success. Over the last year we have appreciated being able to lodge corporate visitors at the Lark. It is
wonderful to finally have an upscale hotel downtown within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and
our office. However, more rooms are needed (yes, even Element newly opened). Erik Nelson and Brian
Caldwell are also deeply vested in Bozeman. Over the years they have built up Thinktank's reputation
with excellent residential and commercial projects. The Lark has been a tremendous success, and
Thinktank's name and reputation are staked on the success of the proposed expansion. Through their
many successful projects in Bozeman they have earned our respect. We should defer to their
professional judgement in this case and approve the project as-proposed. --Lucian Hand
