SUBJECT: Construction Agreement with Montana Department of Transportation, Rouse Avenue, Oak Street to Story Mill Road
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
MEETING DATE: February 29, 2016
RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the signature of the City Manager on the attached Construction
Agreement with the Montana Department of Transportation for improvements to Rouse Avenue from Oak Street to Story Mill Road.
BACKGROUND: The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will be reconstructing
Rouse Avenue from Oak Street to Story Mill Road in 2017. It is possible that some tree removal
will take place this spring. The attached agreement must be executed and returned to MDT before any work can take place. The agreement defines the rights and responsibilities of the parties after the work is complete. These responsibilities are the same as those we currently bear.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None.
FISCAL EFFECTS: None.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
