Contract Agreement Storm Drain O'Connell Drive Interoffice Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Kellen Gamradt, Engineering Inspector Kyle Mehrens, Stormwater Program Coordinator SUBJECT: Contract Agreement for Installation of Storm Drainage Improvements on Oconnell Drive RECOMMENDATION: Ratify City Manager’s Signature of Contract Agreement for Installation of Storm Drainage Improvements on Oconnell Drive BACKGROUND: Drainage from Graf’s Second Addition to the City of Bozeman currently flows to an undersized detention pond and overflows down Oconnell Drive and ponds at a trail parking area at the intersection of Oconnell Drive and South Church Avenue. Staff has identified this issue and designed a storm drain project to route this water south down Baxter Drive, prior to reaching the detention pond. Three bids were obtained for this project in order to meet the city’s purchasing policy of at least 2 written quotes for services totaling between $5,000 and $79,999. Contour Inc. provided the lowest bid at $11,900; however, they were unable to meet our bonding requirements. Omdahl Excavation submitted the next lowest bid at $12,800 and was selected to complete the work. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None ALTERNATIVES: Disapprove FISCAL EFFECTS: The costs of this project will be paid for with approved funding from the FY16 Storm Water Fund.
