I am pleased to submit this application for the North 7 th Rehab Façade Grant Program (fiscal year 2016) for the 612
W. Beall Renovation Project. This application is for a Façade Grant to reimburse the project owner 15% of the costs
to rehabilitate the existing run down exterior of this 1970’s office building. The following is a detailed breakdown of
the project scope and how it meets the requirements set forth in the North 7 th Rehab Funding Program.

612 W. Beall Street, Bozeman MT 59715.
Project Description
FOCUS Architects is submitting this grant funding application for reimbursement for the following items:
1. Demolition and prep of exterior existing facades (all sides).
2. New brick masonry on all four sides.
3. New windows and doors.
4. New metal siding.
5. A new metal entry roof.
6. New roof parapet cap and gutter downspout system
7. New exterior lighting.
Projected Timeline
1. Obtain a building permit by February 15th.
2. Begin construction March 1st.
3. Complete construction May 1st.
4. Grant funding disbursement at NSURB May meeting.

Façade Assistance Requested
This project will significantly enhance the N. 7th corridor by renovating a 1970’s building into a
modern commercial office building. The preliminary estimated costs to perform this work will be
$103,848.00 (final cost TBD based on actual hours spent as costing is T&M plus fixed bid). As of
this preliminary estimate the total grant funding we are requesting will be approximately $15,000
+or- depending on final work. One of the reasons this number is not locked in is we do not know
what type of discovery we will make once we complete the demolition phase of the project (i.e we
may need to replace exterior building sheathing if there is dry rot etc).
