SUBJECT: Appointments to the Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement
District (BTBID) Board of Trustees MEETING DATE: January 25, 2016

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint Ashley Ogle and Eric Sheckleton to the Vacant positions on the Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District Board of Trustees with one term
expiring July 31, 2016 and another term expiring July 31, 2017.
BACKGROUND: The Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District Board of Trustees has two vacant positions with one expiring July 31st, 2016 and the other on July 31st, 2017. Two new applications have been received.
In August, 2009 the City Commission created the BTBID Board to manage the newly created
District (Cht. 2.90, BMC). The mission of the Board is to promote tourism that generates room nights for lodging facilities in the city of Bozeman by effectively marketing the region as a preferred travel destination. BTBID members are appointed to four year terms. Board appointees
must either be a property owner within the District or the duly authorized designee of an owner
of property within the District.
The Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District Board of Trustees currently has two vacant positions and two new applicants.
